Gaza's health ministry said 3,478 people were killed and more than 12,000 injured in Gaza, most of them women, children and the elderly. Another 1,300 people across Gaza are buried under rubble, believed to be dead or alive, health authorities said. More than 1,400 people have been killed in Israel, most of them civilians, during the deadly attack by Hamas, which took nearly 200 hostages in Gaza.
